Google ramps up cloud, storage competition

Google says it's expanding its infrastructure-as-a-service cloud options by a factor of 10, and is reducing the cost of its Compute Engine service by about 5% and its cloud storage by 20%. The company is also launching a test that reduces storage costs by up to 30% for customers who do not have a service-level agreement.
