NICU staff supports recommendations to reduce premature births

NICU staff at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Ill., are among the health groups that support a task force's recommendations to state lawmakers to reduce premature births by tracking data, educating the public and providing the best care for preemies and their families. The recommendations are in a report from the Perinatal Advisory Committee of the Illinois Department of Public Health. A dozen Illinois lawmakers have formed a prematurity caucus to review the issue.
