Vote to keep club female-free strongly endorsed at Butler National GC

Members of the Butler National Golf Club in Oak Brook, Ill., have decided it will not open its doors to women, even though such a ruling prevents the highly ranked golf course from hosting lucrative tournaments and becoming a regular venue for corporate outings. The decision was made despite the opportunity to generate significant financial revenue from tournaments, estimated to generate more than $4 million for a club.
