ProUroCare seeks FDA approval for prostate cancer monitoring device

ProUroCare Medical has submitted an application to the FDA seeking approval for a device that can generate 3-D images of the prostate gland to track prostate cancer. The startup firm said its technology quantifies tissue elasticity to enable physicians to conduct preliminary biopsies and monitor cancer progression.
