Nielsen metric would add VOD to ratings mix

Nielsen is developing a ratings tool that would track a program's performance based on its live airing and video-on-demand screenings of previous episodes that could go back several seasons. The On Demand C3 metric would require that episodes, regardless of platform, carry the same number of ads in the same slots.
