Energy provider offers locally made wind power to Pa. ratepayers

Washington Gas Energy Services is offering wind-generated power from Pennsylvania to ratepayers of utilities PECO Energy, PPL, Pennsylvania Electric and Metropolitan Edison. Residential and business customers can opt for either 50% or 100% wind power under the new program, WGES PA WindPower, said WGES, which has recently joined ChoosePAWind. Pennsylvania residents who sign up with WGES by Dec. 22 will receive preferential introductory rates for the wind-power program.
