Boot Barn expands loss-prevention plan along with store base

California-based footwear merchant Boot Barn didn't see the need for sophisticated loss-prevention programs while it was still a small regional player. That changed when the company kicked into acquisition mode. With stores in several new states, Boot Barn contracted with security company Stanley CSS, a national firm with a strong local presence in each of the markets it serves.
