Producers are crafting guidelines for listing fracking fluids

ExxonMobil and other producers are working to establish standards for companies to divulge the chemicals they use in hydraulic fracturing. The effort comes amid increasing "public interest in the natural gas industry," said Sherri Stuewer, ExxonMobil's vice president of environmental policy and planning. However, such guidelines need to be accomplished at the state level to address regional differences, she added.
