Carriers' IT spending must focus on customers, study finds

To compete and expand, insurance carriers must increase their focus on customers as they spend money on technology, according to an Accenture study. Insurers can better understand their customers by investing in predictive analytics, said Accenture's John Cusano. "The technology allows for additional analytics to be available for carriers. More data is available, and technology is making that data available," he said.
