Location technology helps Apple store customers shop before they arrive and then alerts staff to take items to the customers when they walk into the store, where employees use iPod touch devices to complete the sale. Diego Aguirre, an employee at the Palo Alto, Calif., store, says the technology means customers get service when they want it. "We don't want to feel like we're hassling our customers to shop. We want them to feel at home," he said.
