Some parents object to plans for NYC gifted-education site

Parents and educators at a New York program for students who are gifted are concerned about the city's plans to add a high-school program at the building where the gifted program is housed. At a meeting on Tuesday, parents expressed concerns about overcrowding, security and other issues. The Talented & Gifted School for Young Scholars program is one of just three dedicated gifted-education programs in the city and enrolls students as young as kindergartners.
