PwC: Cybersecurity threats propel mergers, tech buys

A PricewaterhouseCoopers report says increasing cyberthreats are prompting security vendors to buy new tools and technologies, leading to 37 mergers and acquisitions this year totaling $10 billion. That's 70% more than in 2010, and there's no slowdown in sight. Total global cybersecurity spending is predicted to be $60 billion this year, and rise 10% a year over the next three to five years.
