Robot projects may engage children

An increasing number of robot kits, ranging in price from $9 to $3,500 are helping to engage children, spark their creativity and teach them how to handle basic tools. "What you really want to do with a robotics purchase," a robotic-toy consultant says, "is buy something that will involve and engage your child, and give them some motivation and sense of accomplishment, so they can say, Hey, I did this."
