Officials warn of window cord hazard for children

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warned that window cords can pose a risk to children and recommended the use of cordless window treatments for homes with children and day care centers. The warning follows the strangulation death of a Maryland toddler in November and the recall of 5 million window treatments in recent months.
