Barnes & Noble posts $6.6 million loss for fiscal Q2

Higher online sales didn't make up for falling revenue at brick-and-mortar stores during Barnes & Noble's fiscal second quarter, which ended Oct. 29. The bookseller reported an overall sales decline of 0.6% and a net loss of $6.6 million compared with the same period last year, despite a 17% increase in Web revenue.
