DVRs, pay TV often go hand in hand, survey says

A survey of 1,300 U.S. households found that 52% of homes with cable/satellite television services have a digital video recorder, according to Leichtman Research Group. This represents about 45% of all households, the firm said. Meanwhile, the big broadcast networks say their lower ratings are partly due to increased use of DVRs and video on demand.
