Canada passes food-safety law; Philippines could be next

Canada's legislature has passed a food-safety law that is expected to affect domestic and U.S. companies, two years after the U.S. updated its version. The Philippines Senate is considering its own bill. "While these measures differ in many ways, they all recognize challenges to food safety have advanced more rapidly than have the laws," Dan Flynn writes.
