More than half of companies that plan to host a holiday party will serve alcoholic beverages, according to a survey by Challenger, Gray & Christmas. For some, that's an invitation to indulge their holiday spirits. To others, drinking is a ho-hum way to spend their time, and it could even be an HR risk. Maybe it's time companies gave employees more options for celebrating the season to suit their tastes, David Mccaan writes.
