Challenging talks ahead for post-2014 Afghan security plan

U.S. and Afghan officials are set to meet again to further efforts to craft a security agreement for a U.S. military presence in Afghanistan beyond 2014. The Afghan government will be looking to strike a balance between the need for U.S. support and domestic pressure to assert Afghan control over affairs, while the U.S. will be looking to assure protection for U.S. forces that remain, officials say.
