Indoor tanning faces global backlash over teen melanoma rate

More U.S. states and European countries are restricting teenagers' use of indoor tanning beds, and two Australian states will ban tanning salons in 2015, as the melanoma rate in teens has risen. Although the World Health Organization lists ultraviolet-emitting tanning devices as known carcinogens, the FDA regulates tanning beds in the same category as elastic bandages.
