La. state board proceeds on Course Choice amid funding concerns

A committee of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education on Tuesday approved a list of 45 providers seeking to offer courses and apprenticeships to students as part of the state's fledgling Course Choice program. The measure was approved despite a recent state-court ruling striking down the funding mechanism of Course Choice and the state's voucher program, which would redirect state funds from school districts whose students participate.
