Study explores flexible sigmoidoscopy and CRC reduction

Flexible sigmoidoscopy screening cut the number of new colorectal cancer cases by 18%, and new cases of left-sided CRC were reduced by 33%, researchers from the University of Michigan Medical Center reported in their review of previous studies. The combined analysis included more than 166,000 patients randomized to flexible sigmoidoscopy and 250,000 controls.
