Discovery is looking to generate subscriber fees for OWN

With the launch of OWN just weeks away, Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav and his team are pushing to get pay-TV providers to support it with subscription fees. The Oprah Winfrey Network launches Jan. 1 in the place of the Discovery Health channel, which, in most cases, does not attract per-household subscription fees, Zaslav said.
