Ikea banks on bigger Canadian store to fend off rivals

Ikea's recently opened 427,000-square-foot Ottawa store is the company's largest store in Canada, and the Swedish furniture giant expects the new location to give the chain a leg up as competition heats up with the pending arrival of Target. Some industry watchers also say Ikea's larger presence is likely to take away more business from struggling independent furniture stores.
