NADP weighs in on proposed statement-of-benefit rules

The NADP and other dental groups commented on plans for a summary of benefits and coverage under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The act requires HHS to create standards for health plan descriptions to make it easier for consumers to shop for coverage. NADP Executive Director Evelyn Ireland said dental plans should be presented in a grid for easy comparison of features, coverage and deductibles, and "should be designed in a way that offers consumers the opportunity to seek progressively more in-depth information."
