A Market Street brand revamp launched nearly a year ago has culminated in a new logo, introduced at the chain's 11th store, which opens Jan. 9 in Lubbock, Texas. The orange- and melon-colored logo shows a grapefruit intersected with a spoon. "The grapefruit is the state fruit of Texas, and we feel it conveys a fresh image," said Monica Schierbaum, senior director of marketing at parent United Supermarkets. "The spoon represents our gourmet prepared foods that we are known for at Market Street."
