Congressman: Regulatory burdens stifle small businesses

Studies found that small-business owners say they are constrained by government regulation and that compliance costs are a greater burden for small businesses than they are for their larger counterparts, writes Rep. Sam Graves, R-Mo. "The federal government has gone too far on many nonessential regulations that are harming small businesses." Two pieces of legislation, the Regulatory Flexibility Improvements Act of 2011 and the REINS Act, would help to protect small businesses from intrusive government regulation, he writes.
