Kuwait sets out to build $132B "Silk City"

Construction of the $132 billion "Silk City" across the harbor from Kuwait City has started. The 62-acre parcel of desert land will be transformed into business, cultural and leisure districts. A large port, international airport, several bridges, parks and gardens and a 1,001-meter skyscraper -- an homage to "One Thousand And One Arabian Nights" -- are all planned. The project is expected to be complete by 2023.
