Critics say bonus tax risks driving business from City:

Bankers are scrutinising the UK's newly announced 50% tax on bankers' bonuses in excess of £25,000. Barclays President Robert Diamond said the tax could hurt the City. "This will further damage the image of the City as a global financial centre," said Shaun Springer, CEO of Square Mile Services. "This is politically motivated."
