Alliance helps develop a way forward on app privacy

Frustrated by bogged-down multistakeholder discussions about mobile-application privacy, a coalition of groups that includes the Application Developers Alliance branched out and came up with brief, standardized privacy notices that would give consumers a transparent sense of how their information is being used. "There's a whole lot of shouting going on about process. There's a whole lot of shouting going on about substance. What if we close the door, lower the temperature and try to get something done?" Alliance President Jon Potter said.
