HTML5 will mean "radical" changes for developers

The HTML5 standard will bring big changes for Web developers when it is finally released in mid-2014, says consultant Jen Simmons. The protocol will include a variety of highly technical, back-end upgrades that will affect many aspects of website design and functionality, Simmons says. "Some of that stuff is pretty radical. And it will change how you design websites," she adds.
