Utah to benefit from waste storage site in Texas, observers say

The opening of Waste Control Specialists' radioactive waste storage site in Texas has eased pressure on Utah to allow EnergySolutions to accept higher-level material at its site in Tooele County, Utah, observers say. "It is a huge accomplishment nationally to have a new low-level waste site. Utah is no longer the sole focus of the waste universe," said Leonard Slosky, who runs a Denver-based waste-management group.
