Lithium polymer batteries next step for laptops

Recent problems with lithium-ion batteries that have led to large product recalls are making notebook manufacturers rethink the possibility of using lithium polymer batteries. Although polymer batteries generally don't provide the long battery life manufacturers and consumers want, the technology is being improved.
