This article looks at a new generation of activists who have been mobilized by the passage of California's Proposition 8 marriage ban to lobby for LGBT equality using a combination of grassroots tactics and new-media savvy. "I think we are demanding as a community that we democratize our processes and ensure we all have a voice. Because we are not a campaign. We are a movement," said Molly McKay, media director of the volunteer group Marriage Equality USA.
