Sources: Wachovia account to go to DDB, not Ogilvy

WPP Group's Ogilvy, which was named the lead agency for Wachovia's marketing business just before the bank announced its merger with Citibank, will not be handling the account, according to this article. Instead, Omnicom Group's DDB, New York, reportedly will be the new agency for Wachovia, which ended up merging with Wells Fargo; DDB, Los Angeles, handles creative for Wells Fargo. Neither the agencies involved nor Wachovia commented for this article.
