Low-fat items can contribute to weight gain, RD says

Choosing low-fat foods over their full-fat counterparts can fuel weight gain because most people perceive reduced-fat items as healthier alternatives, causing them to be less mindful of their intake and consume more portions, according to nutrition expert and registered dietitian Joy Bauer.
