Fast LEI Code launch departs from international standards

Several projects launched to implement the Global Legal-Entity Identifier program are off to a fast start but in their haste, the codes could end up conflicting with international standards governing how they should be made. Realistically, the global system won't really get off the ground until the beginning of 2014, said Rudolf Siebel, managing director of BVI Bundesverband Investment and Asset Management.
