Malala Plan unveiled for girls education worldwide

UNESCO and Pakistan on Monday announced an initiative to get more girls into school domestically and internationally. The Malala Plan -- named after Malala Yousufzai, the teenage schoolgirl who narrowly survived a shooting by Taliban gunmen for advocating education for girls -- would be boosted by $10 million from Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari. "The sooner all deprived children go to school, the sooner I will get better," Malala said in a statement.
