ACC: U.S. chemical sector trails global industry rebound

The U.S. chemical sector showed signs of recovery in 2010, but the gains lagged behind those of the global industry, according to American Chemistry Council economists. "Globally, the recovery in chemicals has now changed into an expansion. The U.S. is lagging still. We are still in a recovery mode," said T. Kevin Swift, chief economist and managing director at ACC.
