Etihad places a 12-plane, $2.8B order with Boeing

Etihad Airways says it will spend $2.8 billion to buy a dozen planes from Boeing. The order is for 10 787-9 Dreamliners and a pair of 777 Freighters. "Both the 787 Dreamliner and the 777 Freighter offer highly attractive operating economics and will facilitate our global expansion plans," CEO James Hogan said.
