Google Currents app aggregates news

Google's free Currents application aggregates news in a format designed for tablet-style swiping on Android and Apple's iOS. Google is offering new Rich Media Designs templates for advertisers, per Google's Karim Temsamani, and beta-testing a search that brings in video ads. Participating publishers include Slate, Saveur and Forbes.
