Utah STEM education to get boost in proposed state budget

Utah Gov. Gary Herbert is requesting an additional $298 million for education in the state's annual budget, with some earmarked for programs dedicated to science, technology, engineering and math. For example, $5 million would go to enhance STEM education in grades 4 to 8, and $4.5 million to create resources for all grade levels.
