Hawaii Biotech plans to file for bankruptcy

Hawaii Biotech has announced its plan to file for Chapter 11 reorganization in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. The company said the move is meant to allow it "to continue its current and planned human clinical trials, keep its staff in place, pursue funding and protect current investors." The company currently is conducting clinical studies of vaccines for West Nile virus and dengue fever.
