NIH awards $1.2 million for diabetes management app

Researchers at Worcester Polytechnic Institute will lead an effort to develop a smartphone application that connects to a glucose meter and scale wirelessly to enhance disease management in patients with foot ulcers and advanced diabetes. The project is being funded by a $1.2 million grant from the NIH.
