Study: Some ICU patients have post-discharge depression

A study in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine showed some patients with acute lung injury who spent time in an ICU later developed depression and other physical impairments. The Johns Hopkins University researchers said ICU patients with other diseases who are on a ventilator also may experience the same complications.
