TV wins more minutes per day from U.S. viewers

Television viewing by Americans has increased by 10 minutes a day to a total of 4 hours and 34 minutes from a year earlier, in spite of competition from mobile devices, according to an eMarketer study. Mobile usage is up as well, but increasingly tablets and smartphones are seen to some degree as complementary to TV, as users keep their devices handy and use them while viewing.
