Lifestyle habits put cardiovascular disease progress at risk

Increasing rates of high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes may reverse gains made in reducing cardiovascular disease in the U.S., according to an American Heart Association report in Circulation. The report said 68% of adults are overweight or obese, one-third do not engage in leisure-time physical activity and only 53% of people with hypertension have it under control.
