Study examines techniques for double-eyelid blepharoplasty

Buried suture double-eyelid blepharoplasty using transconjuctival tarsal fixation was minimally invasive and reversible, with short recovery times and less risk for complications, according to a study in the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery. In contrast, double-eyelid blepharoplasty combined with resection of the pretarsal obicularis oculi muscle yielded more durable results.
