UCLA researchers unveil allergen-testing app

Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, have designed a device, dubbed iTube, that enables users to detect the concentration of ingredients in food products that can cause allergic reactions. The device uses a phone's camera and a smartphone application to look for allergens such as eggs, peanuts and gluten.
