FDA is urged to increase regulatory oversight over tanning beds

The American Cancer Society is calling on federal officials to subject tanning beds to greater FDA oversight due to findings that the devices are associated with an increased risk of skin cancer. Makers of tanning beds contend there has been no proof of a link between their products and fatal cancers.
